The Shield U-21 B Hurling final in Bennettsbridge at 2 p.m. on Saturday will be a history making occasion as Galmoy/Windgap combination will take on St. Fiacres, made up of players from Black & Whites and Graiguenamanagh. It is an important final for the development of future players in both clubs. All four clubs are no strangers to success at adult county level and this should be a very interesting and hard fought encounter. Galmoy/Windgap impressed despite losing to Carrickshock. St. Fiacres big win over Slieverue would seem to indicate that they should have made a far greater impact in the championship itself and will be favourites to win, having lost to Carrickshock in last year’s inaugural U-21 Shield final.
