It was also the day of the mart so The Hub was packed. Sharon Dunne who organises Peace Proms introduced herself and called Gearóid Grant, one of Ireland's best conductors, onto the platform. Gearóid went through all the songs with us. Some songs had a few changes to them. There was a choreographer as well. Her name was Rosie. She went through the dance moves to three of the songs with us. the We all got a dvd to practice the choreography at home. Gearóid said we knew our dance moves very well, but he said we had to work hard on the song words. We have to remember to sing and dance at the same time. On 2nd March, Peace Proms day, the orchestra will be there in The Hub. There will be 120 musicians altogether. In the choir there will be a few hundred children singing their hearts out. We are really looking forward to it. ![]() Reminder that tomorrow morning, Saturday 9th February the group will complete a walk through the Slatequarries and Ahenny Loop.
