Windgap Super Saturday Tractor Run by Seán Baron When I got up at 7:00 I went downstairs and got my breakfast. Then I went up to the farm and milked the cows with my dad. Then I got the 6030 New Holland ready to go. I washed the New Holland the night before sot it was really clean. Then we went down to the lake and parked the tractor at 12: 00. We were first in the queue. Then a few more tractors came on. Overall there was 47 tractors. After we parked the tractor we went to have a look at all the other tractors and went into the hall. When we got going, Joe Murray was leading the way, he was driving a Davey Brown that had a banner that said “Windgap National School Fund Raising, A Lot Done More To Do”. We went off down to Coolagh then we turned right down to Rogerstown and into Kilmoganny, then up the hill into Tullahought. Then we stopped in Powers for around and hour. When we got back to Windgap we got burgers, coke and sandwiches. Then most of the farmers went home and some went to Guinans for tea and sandwiches. It was a great day and we all raised a lot of money for the school The tractor run by Eimear Dunphy There was a tractor run on the 9th the of November to raise money for the school. There were 47 tractors on the tractor run and there were 41 different types. For the security my dad got 4 of his friends from the Harley Daividson club to help out. When we started the sun was shining but when we got to powers it started to rain but it did not bother us too much because we were stopping there any way, and then it kept raining until we were done the tractor run. But the good part was we got burgers at the end and they were nice. So by the time we were done eating our burgers the raffle was over and they were packing up all the stuff from the buy and sell. But people still got the last few buns that were left . It was a great day and fun too so we hope to do it again in the future.
