Thanks is extended from the organisers to all who supported last Saturdays Tullahought fundraiser auction in aid of Carrick-on-Suir River Rescue.
There was also a tremendous response to the recent sponsored walk up Slievenamon.
"Our local auctioneer entertained us whilst also managing to get the best possible price through his encouragement of some reluctant bidders resulting in a tremendous outcome for this very good cause. The proceeds of all these efforts totalled €11,000. A cheque for this amount was presented by Eddie Grinsell to Michael Hickey who accepted it on behalf of Carrick-on Suir River Rescue."
