Windgap Tullahought Notes Jan 7th:

NO CATS ALLOWED AT SATURDAY NIGHTS MOUSE RACING:
With just a few days to go to The Hurling Clubs Mice Race night, that takes place on Saturday next January 12th in Powers of Tullahought, plans are being put in place to ensure that all cats from near and far are barred from attending. The first real competitive action of the season will see one of humans smallest and most common friends provide the action. A novel fundraiser across the world supporters can purchase a runner, have a punt, or join in the atmosphere on the night by just dropping along or by contacting any club or committee member for further details. With every one having their very one mouse tale or reminiscence from colourful screen stars Mickey and Minnie to the imagined un-named entertainers from the deep dark of night that provide variable rustling sounds there may even be an award for the best story. At the moment a close guard is being kept on the identify of the racing stable providing the runners as rumours circulate they may be like the participants in not being cat lovers. However it has been confirmed all contestants will be of the same species to prevent the field version from having an unfair advantage over their more house and wood loving cousins. For one and all it’s all happening in Power's pub at 8pm. For more information check the Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/powers.tullahought.5

Anyone interested in this very interesting course is asked to contact any member of the committee or Rev. Nicholas Flavin on or before Monday 14th January.
