**************************************************************************************** THE MISCARAGE ASSOCIATION OF IRELAND will hold its first national support group meeting in Kilkenny on 17th October 2013, 7pm in St Patrick’s Parish Centre, Bohernatounish Road, Loughboy. This meeting, the first to be held outside of Dublin, will give an opportunity to all those affected by miscarriage to talk about and share their experience. The meeting will be co-ordinated by committee members of the association. ‘This meeting provides an opportunity for women and their partners to talk in a supportive environment about their experience,’ said Niamh Ryan, secretary of the Association. ‘Of course, people are under no obligation to talk and can find great comfort simply by listening to others talk about their own experience.’ A Book of Remembrance will also be available on the day for those who wish to make an entry in memory of the child they have lost through miscarriage. The Association, which celebrates 25 years in existence this year, provides support to all who have been affected by miscarriage through a telephone support service, monthly support meetings in Dublin’s Buswell’s Hotel, and an annual Service of Remembrance, which will take place this year on 10th November, at 3 pm in St Theresa’s church, Donore Avenue (off South Circular Road) Dublin 8.
