PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL REPORT: (1) Times for Holy Week ceremonies were agreed and the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be celebrated during Good Friday Ceremonies; (2) Palm Sunday mass time in Windgap will be 9.45 a.m., the Short version of the Gospel will be used in both churches; (3) Corpus Christi Procession will take place after 12.30 p.m. mass in grotto around the grotto on 22nd June (4) The Mass of healing will take place in St. Nicholas’ Church Tullahought on Thursday 22nd May at 3.00 p.m. (5) The Mass for Examination Students will take place on Sunday 25th May; (6) Confirmation will be celebrated on Sunday 1st June at 11.00 a.m. in Windgap; (7) Stations of the Cross will be celebrated in both churches on Wednesdays of Lent at 7.30 p.m. (8) Planning for a Parish Mission in 2015 has commenced and it is hoped that the Mission will take place in the Autumn of 2015.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS: Additional Eucharistic Ministers are always welcome. If you would like to be a Eucharistic Minister or know of someone who is suitable please contact any member of the Parish Council or Rev. Nicholas Flavin. The dates of the courses are as follows: St. Patrick’s Centre, Kilkenny: Tuesday 11th; Wednesday 12th; Thursday 13th March; Ferrybank Parish Centre: Tuesday 25th; Wednesday 26th & Thursday 27th March.

***************************************************************************************** ST. PATRICK’S DAY 17th MARCH: Mass times for the feast are: Sunday 16th Kilmoganny at 7.00 p.m.; Monday 17th: Tullahought at 9.00 a.m.; Windgap at 10.00 a.m. & Dunamaggan at 11.00 a.m.
***************************************************************************************** MOUSE RACE NIGHT: A major novel fundraiser for "Windgap Community projects" is planned for the Auld House, Killamery on March 22nd 2014. For the first time mouse racing comes to this end of the parish.
The "Windgap the Future" who are hosting the event in association with the Windgap development group are planning this major event in order to kick off the playground and community hall funding.
Race cards have distributed throughout the parish and beyond, and is hoped that all households in the Windgap and Tullahought areas can contribute to this community effort. First prize from advance sales is a €350 cash sum, in addition to many more large cash and other prizes.
A great evening’s entertainment is promised with music and food. Tote betting available during the night. The event kicks off early at 8.00p.m. as a full race card is planned.
