The Student Council of Windgap NS organised a 'No Uniform Day' in aid of the St John Ambulance service and raised €235.20. The money raised will be used for the maintenance of the ambulance.
Members of the Student Council are pictured presenting the proceeds to Officer in Charge, Denis O'Callaghan, who was accompanied by fellow volunteers Angela Blackmore, Deirdre Carroll and Dionne O'Callaghan, all of whom are trained in Cardiac Emergency Response.
Denis told the pupils about the service provided by St John Ambulance and allowed everyone have a look inside the ambulance. The ambulance crew even administered emergency treatment to some very sick teddies.
