Kilmacoliver Megalithic Tomb
At Kilmacoliver summit you will discover a circular enclosure of standing stones believed to be a megalithic tomb dating back 5000 years and commonly known as the Burial Ground. There are similar stones at the summit of Sliabh na mBan across the valley and within thevalley ‘The Caiseal’ – Knockroe passage tomb; some 5000 years old is aligned to the setting sun of the Winter Solstice.
