Parents Council
The Parents’ Association is the link between parents and St. Nicholas National School in
Windgap. It represents parents’ interests and concerns, and runs events for the children such
as the annual Christmas Party. Recent offerings include an Anti-bullying workshop and a visit to
the school by Kilkenny’s only Reptile Zoo. As it is an independent body, the Parents’ Association
has to raise its own funds to be able to stage events and pay for the insurance required
