Galmoy/Windgap were unfortunate to come up a point short against Dicksboro B in their first game of the year in Palmerstown tonight.Despite the loss there were some very impressive performances and it augurs well for the rest of the year.Galmoy/Windgap led early on thanks to a Billy Drennan goal in the second minute.Their midfielders Jack Doyle and Padraig Foley were very good with two points coming from Padraig Foley to lead 1-3 to 0-4 at the interval.Eoin Dalton at full forward was very good and scored 0-4 for a Dicksboro team who were all Under 13s.David Sherman also brought off two good saves in goal for the visitors before the break.
Halftime substitute Sean Dunne added an early second half goal for Galmoy/Windgap and Matt Delaney first timed another to the net in the 37th minute to lead 3-3 to 0-5.
Dicksboro however, stepped up the pace and hit four goals without reply to lead 4-6 to 3-3.

It was local Derby Day today in schools Camogie, with Windgap facing their near neighbors and fellow club members, Dunamaggin NS at home in Dunamaggin GAA grounds.

There was only a point in it at half time, but Windgap opened up in the second half. There were so many stars on the day it would be impossible to begin to name them.

Well done to players and management.
