CAMOGIE AGM- Under pressure from emigration and having survived the senior relegation final last year, every parent, interested team coaches and mentors at all levels and players are invited to attend the AGM in the Clubrooms on Friday evening next. ASHBOURNE CUP- After a titanic struggle in the final in Limerick on Sunday Denise Gaule captured her fourth Ashbourne Cup medal with Waterford Institute of Technology when they defeated Limerick by a single point after a second session of extra time took place.

Why not run, jog or walk the 10-km Flora Women’s Mini Marathon for Our Lady’s Children Hospital & Medical Research Centre Crumlin in Dublin on the Bank holiday Monday, June 3rd 2013. CLUB NEWS- On Monday evening in the Springhill Hotel guest speaker Paudie Butler gave a presentation to almost one hundred and fifty coaches looking after the under six to twelve’s around the County. Following the new children’s laws passed in the referendum in October he covered all aspects of good coaching and mentoring of the future stars of the game. Recent Winning Lotto Numbers were 2, 9, 15, 21 and Bonus 13. Next weeks Prize fund is €6,700.
DROICHEAD RESOURCE CENTRE- An open music, song & dance session will take place in Droichead Family Resource Centre (The Friary) every Friday afternoon for the older folk in Callan and surrounding area. This session takes place from 2pm – 4pm. All are welcome to join in on the session and have a bit of craic. Admission will be €2 per person. Tea and Coffee will be available. Volunteer musicians wanted to give a helping hand.
A D.I.Y Course will begin on Thursday evening, February 21st from 6pm – 8pm. It will take place over 6 Thursday evenings and the topics covered include- woodwork, plumbing, decorating, picture hanging and room measuring. This course will cost €30 per person.
