A cultural evening is organised for Coolagh, Callan, Co. Kilkenny on Saturday, July 20th to celebrate Irelands gathering to welcome home all families, second and third generation Irish connections with the Coolagh and surrounding areas. The evening will commence with open air mass at the burial site around the 12th century medieval church on Coolaghmore Hill. This will be followed by an outdoor evening of music, food and dance on the famous Coolaghflags, a natural sandstone surface at the rear of the old Coolagh National School, now the local community hall.
