Windgap under 10 boys travelled to Galmoy on Saturday last and played the local boys in the next round of the U10 Go Games league.
Windgap started well scoring an early goal to set them on their way. Following this they hurled together as a team and worked tremendously hard for each other. They finished on top with a scoreline of 5-3 to 1-3. Next they will take part in the final match day in Nowlan Park, details to be announced later.
Windgap GAA under 8 boys had a wonderful day out (between the rain showers) at the Ossory Faith Fest in St. Kierans College on Saturday week last. In their first match they fought well and were unlucky to lose by 1 goal to Bennetsbridge. Following this they played superbly to defeat the Shamrocks of Ballyhale. In their final game they lost to a very strong Rower side. The players were presented with medals by Kilkenny senior hurler Michael Rice. Thanks to all the parents and everyone that came along and helped out on the day.
