Two teams of over 40s hurlers of Windgap played out a thrilling encounter in the GAA pitch resulting in a draw, at the Windgap Gathering Festival earlier today. Playing in the Windgap and Callan jersies in front of a massive crowd, it was end to end stuff. Great credit to Pat Foley for persuading so many former heroes to come out of retirement. The highest profile player was our Kilkenny GAA county Secretary Jimmy Walsh who has had more comebacks than Frank SInatra. Earlier Jimmy received an award from club Secretary PJ Egan reflecting the local pride in Jimmy's wonderful achievements. More pictures and videos later.
