MASS OF WELCOME AND FAMILY in Dunamaggan will be celebrated this year at the Old Mass Tree, on the land of Tom Phelan, on Thursday 25th July at 7.30 p.m. It will be followed by the usual picnic, music, chat etc around the camp fire in the grounds of St. Leonard’s Church. All are welcome especially children and new arrivals in the parish. Parking in Tom Phelan’s Yard.

PROPOSED BUS FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN KILKENNY: If there is sufficient interest it is proposed to have a bus service to Kilkenny to serve the Presentation Secondary School, St. Kieran’s College and possibly the C.B.S. The proposed pick up points are Windgap, Kilmoganny, Dunamaggan and Kells. The proposed price is €2 per trip and you pay as you go. Contact Dermot Ronan, Ronan Coaches, 087 – 2076844.

PARISH FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING REPORT: (1) It was agreed to proceed as soon as possible with the urgent repairs to the roof of the parochial house and the flat roof of the church and to widen the entry to the Church car park; (2) As the Parish does not have sufficient funds to meet such costs it was decided to hold a special collection soon: (3) New members would be welcome on the committee. If you are aware of suitable new members of the committee please contact Rev. Nicholas Flavin; (4) An ideas for enhancing the Christmas Bazar would be welcome.
