NEW BUS SERVICE TO KILKENNY SECONDARY SCHOOLS: The price is €2 per trip. You pay as you go. It starts on Wednesday 28th August. The bus will drop pupils at Presentation Secondary School, Loughboy, St. Kieran’s College, New St., C.B.S. Gaol Road. The service is provided by Ronan Coaches. SPONSORED WALK: A sponsored walk will take place at Sliabh na mBan on this Sunday 25th August at 1.00 p.m. The walk is in aid of Carrick River Rescue and in memory of Joe Grincell.

8.00p.m. Lecture by Dr. Willie Nolan entitled ‘Political Exiles from Ireland post 1848 rebellion with particular reference to Tipperary and Kilkenny. Venue: Tullahought Community Centre.
10.00p.m.. Trad. Music in Power’s, Tullahought
Sunday 25th August, 2013: 11.00a.m. Camogie and Hurling Blitz – Under 12’s - Mike Williams Memorial Shield. Venue: Tullahought Sportsfield.
1.00p.m. – 5.00p.m. – Photographic Exhibition continues Venue - Tullahought Community Centre.
2.00p.m.: Traditional Craft Demonstrations: knitting and embroidery expertise, butter making in Tullahought Community Centre.
Demonstration and talk on restoration of wrought iron gates in old forge, by Mr. Shem Caulfield. This event is a Heritage Council sponsored project.
3.00p.m.: Guided tour of Knockroe Passage Tomb by Dr. Muiris O’Sullivan.
9.00p.m.: Trad music at Powers, Tullahought and Delaney’s, Slatequarries.
Car parking available - Wheelchair accessible – all events suitable for children

It commences at 9.30 a.m. Do0g Show & Leading Rein at 2.00 p.m. Proceeds to Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare Team and to St. Joseph’s Home, Kilmoganny. *****************************************************************************************BRIDGE WILL RESUME in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny on Wednesday 4th September at 8.00 p.m. Bridge Classes for Beginners will commence on Wednesday 2nd October in St. Eoghan’s Centre, Kilmoganny. Classes will take place on 10 successive Wednesdays. Cost €20 including tea/coffee for all lessons. No previous card playing experience is required. For further information contact 087 – 2257498.
