FIELD NAME COLLECTION PROJECT: The South Kilkenny Historical Society, in association with Kilkenny Co. Council Heritage Department, have begun a Fieldname Collection Project and have organised an information night and presentation on Tuesday, November 5th at 8.00 p.m. in Comerford’s, Mooncoin. All are welcome and admission is free.

Angel pins, angel phone charms and angel fun packs will be on sale at various locations throughout Kilkenny city and surrounding towns at a cost of €2 each. PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE: All are invited to a public meeting in the Windgap Community Centre on Tuesday 5th November at 8.00 p.m. Presentations will be made re the future development of a Community Centre, on the playground and the achievements since September 2012. Your presence and views will be appreciated.
**************************************************************************************** PUBLIC MEETING: There will be a public information meeting in Newtown Upper NS from 7.00 – 9.00 p.m. on Wednesday 6th November. The aim is to share info on the Eirgrid/Gridlink plan to erect pylons all over the South-East and in our locality. It is important that one member of each household attends this meeting.

HORTICULTURE FETAC LEVEL 3: The BTEI (The back to education initiative) in Kilkenny are offering a FETAC level 3 Module studying Horticulture in Tullahought, it will run for one day a week from 9.30 a.m. – 2.00p.m..
