A PARISH FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING REPORT: (1) Thanks was expressed to those who have returned the Tax rebate forms; (2) The financial returns for 2013 were presented, current expenditure for the year exceeded current income by €3,409. In addition there is a Loan to be repaid of €25,000 arising from necessary repairs to the flat roof of the church and Presbytery roof. (3) The Christmas Bazaar & Parish draw were discussed. It was proposed that the books of tickets would be €5 per book of 3 with the prizes increased. Donations for the Spinner would be very welcome; (4) It is proposed to circulate a box containing the envelopes for priests and maintenance collection early in each year. (5) An update was given on the progress of the playground and the Community Centre.
***************************************************************************************** Defibrillator Cake Sale & Raffle: The Committee would like to thank most sincerely those who provided all the lovely home produce, those who donated prizes for the raffles, everyone who supported us on both evenings and all the people who helped in any way to make our annual cake sale and raffles so successful. The total raised was €1,249.31 which will be used for training courses and maintenance of the defibrillators.
