Windgap N.S. has been busy the past few weeks preparing for the annual peace proms.
Led by our teacher, Mrs. Malone, ‘Peace Proms’ is an event that brings students from the North and South of Ireland together. It’s when all the school choirs gather into one place and sing and perform in front of a massive audience. This year ‘Peace Proms’ is back in Cillín Hill, where it was previously staged. Previous songlists have included hits like ‘Grease Lightning’ and ‘World In Union’.
This year we are singing different songs like ‘Together’, ‘Ireland’s Call’ and ‘Imagine’. These are only three of the 72 songs, we have to sing for Peace Proms. Not everyone is going but the people that are, will hopefully will have a spectacular time at the concert. I know I will.
