
![]() A Lecture by Dr. Willie Nolan entitled ‘Political Exiles from Ireland post 1848 rebellion with particular reference to Tipperary and Kilkenny took place in Tullahought Community Centre tonight. A Traditional Music session commenced in in Power’s of Tullahought at 10 PM. On Sunday 25th August the program starts at 11am with the U12’s Mike Williams Memorial Camogie and Hurling Blitzes in Tullahought Sports field. It is followed from 1pm – 5pm by the Photographic Exhibition continues in Tullahought Community Centre. At 2.00pm: the agenda features Traditional Craft Demonstrations – knitting and embroidery expertise, butter making all in Tullahought Community Centre. It is then followed by a Demonstration and talk on restoration of wrought iron gates in old forge, by Mr. Shem Caulfield. This event is a Heritage Council sponsored project. 3pm: It is then followed by a Guided tour of Knockroe Passage Tomb by. It all concludes at 9pm with traditional music at Powers, Tullahought and Delaney’s of the Slatequarries. For all events Car parking is available and all areas are Wheelchair accessible. All events are suitable for children and everyone is welcome to attend.
