Ciara Smith (5th class)
This week we had two German students in our school, Sophie and Anna. They were here in Windgap on holidays and are going back at the weekend to Kiel where they live. It was interesting to hear about what school is like in Germany.
Swimming lessons for Sonas, Juniors, Seniors, 5th and 6th started on Wednesday in The Watershed. Fifth and Sixth classes have started a book club and we aim to read about three books in April. Third and Fourth classes had a visit from Callan fire Service on Friday. The fire officers talked to the class about fire safety. First and Second classes learned about 3D shapes and then they made them. They also did an experiment about melting and freezing. Junior and Senior Infants are happy to have Mrs Walsh back again. Thanks Ms Doyle for teaching in our school while Mrs Walsh was sick.
