The boys of Windgap National School boys took a trip back to their local Gaelic football roots, by making the final of the Callan CBS football tournament on Tuesday morning . Windgap traditionally a football stronghold, showed their pedigree with impressive wins against Callan, Gaelscoil Osraí and Kilmanagh. The final of the "Build A Bank Football blitz" resulted in a narrow defeat to Windgap by Gaelscoil Osraí. The boys football success allies well with Windgap Girls recent series of wins in Gaelic football.
Highlight of the day was the presentation of medals by the great Colm Cooper of Kerry ! AIB were sponsors of the event.
