THE ANNUAL CHRISTMAS BAZAAR will be held in Windgap Community Centre on Sunday 9th December at 2.00 p.m. All usual events will take place. As in previous years Christmas Cakes are a speciality at Windgap Bazaar so the usual appeal is being made for cakes for icing. Raffle tickets will be distributed to all houses over the next few weeks. After the item dealing with the Bazaar include ' that all cakes for icing to be handed in before Sunday 2nd December, further information contact 648070 or 648158.

KCLR’s Spirit of Christmas Carol Concert. This year, ignite the real Spirit of Christmas and, re-light hope! KCLR's Soul Agenda presenters Vicki Sandall and Fr Dan Carroll, present the first “Spirit of Christmas Carol Concert” in aid of the Carlow Kilkenny Homecare Team. With a star studded line up including, Pat Byrne, Brian Cody, Gerry Moran and Brendan Corcoran. Joining them are Kilkenny's St Patrick's Brass and Reed Band, an 80 strong choir comprising of choirs from across Carlow and Kilkenny, St John of God's School Choir and YOU. PARISH DEVELOPMENT MEETING: The meeting was held on Tuesday 20th November. (1) An update was given re the Community Centre and its development; (2) A detailed report was given re Heritage and Environmental topics; (3) Significant progress was reported re the development of a Parish Website; (4) It is intended to widen the entrance to the Church Car Park in Windgap. Other work is required in the area of the Church such as drainage and repairs to the flat roof; (5) A number of people volunteered to paint etc the Community Centre inside; (6) It was suggested to have a Cup of tea for all in Parochial House after mass on Christmas day; (7) A list of priority improvements which require Co. Council work was presented; (8) It was decided to accept the invitation from The Kilkenny Leader Partnership Company to participate in training. The next meeting was fixed for Tuesday January 15th at 8.00 p.m. in the G.A.A. Club Rooms.
