Team Photo from the Schools Hurling Final Verses St. Canices B in Nowlan Park FÉILE NEWS: For the first time in the history of the local handball four teams will represent Windgap Handball Club in the National Féile competition that takes place in Tipperary and Waterford on this Saturday 18th of June. The Club entrants consists of three boys teams and one girls team that play in Nenagh, Carrick on Suir, An Rinn and Ballinahinch. They play in Divisions one, three and six respectively with the girls playing in Division two. Also representing Kilkenny is the sides sister Club Galmoy who they meet in Division one. The Galmoy side is led by Billy Drennan who lines out with the Galmoy Windgap under fourteen hurlers and who won the prestigious National Féile Hurling Skills title in Abbotstown on Saturday last. The remaining local clubs include debutants Glenmore, along with Kells, Clogh, Kilfane and Talbots Inch. The occasion matches the achievements of the 2007 Féile hosted in Kilkenny when the local Clubs had hurling, Camogie and Boys and Girls Handball teams entered, with the Hurling side going on to win the Hurling Title.
